When Moses saw God in the desert, the Lord appeared as a fire burning on a bush. Burning in a dry land! Science says that the desert is a place where a fire cannot be started unless there is a human occurrence or lightning. Even still, the Lord appeared as a Flame in a place where it was said to be impossible to burn. Even Moses looked at The Burning Bush and wondered how it was possible!
And Just as Moses wondered how a fire could burn in a dry land, people, worldly and religious, will be wondering how the Remnant is burning so HOT for Christ!
All over the world, there are dry lands. No, I’m not talking about Africa. There are places where there is no river, where the oil runs low, where there is no saturation of God, no overflow of the Kingdom. There are not many places that are flowing with rivers.
The river is dried up!!
If you’re religious, you’re in a dry land!!
If you get mad over stupid, petty things, you are in a dry land!!
If you’re being tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, you’re in a dry land!!
You are destitute of the overflow of the Kingdom of God!!
Yes, you found a little stream, but you get just little bit! Crumbs from the master’s table! A little freedom but not free! A little joy but not unspeakable! A little peace but not the one that surpasses all understanding! A little fire but not consumed!!!!!
You see, this what we do in America: We touch heaven a little bit, and we are satisfied with that. It makes our whole decade if one back gets healed, or one person gets saved!
We feel some goose bumps, some tingling. We get a little word, We have a little healing gift, a little preaching gift, even a ministry!
But God didn’t say to have little parts of Him!
He said to have all of Him!!! To eat all of Me!! Even the guts! When God commanded the Israelites to eat The Lamb, He said eat it all! Every last bit!
This is revelation for the Body today. Eat it all! Have it all! It’s not just a little touch here and there.
God wants you to be consumed by The Kingdom. Consumed!! You know what that means? That every part of your life, every thought, every feeling, would be taken over by God! A full blown invasion of God in your mortal and immortal body! If we don’t go after this, for God to invade every last bit of us, we’re going to dwell in a dry place in the desert. God could have led the Israelites to the Promised Land in one day. He didn’t! Why? Because he wanted them to enter the Promised Land within first! He wanted them to burn in the dry lands first before they could get to the land of overflow.
What does it mean to burn for God?
It’s to have this Holy Rage that goes after God! To the point where we don’t have time for pointless things, worldly conversations, miscellaneous things, offense, worried about what she said or he said, what they think or don’t think!! All that stuff burns up in The Fire Of God! When you are going after God without relenting, there’s no time to do anything else but to have Him!
If you are in the desert, the only thing you are going to worry about is water! Food!
I need to keep myself alive!
Well, many of us have to realize that we are in the desert, and instead of saying I need food or water, we need to say, “I NEED GOD!!!!!!” I need to hear His Words! I want the overflow of the spirit!!! The Words of Life! The church today knows nothing about laboring, nothing about panting after the water, nothing about seeking the kingdom until they have ALL OF IT! This is why our churches are dead, because they have a form of godliness but deny the power. They need to cry out for the POWER!!!!!!
Why am I not touching you, God?
Why are you not touching me?
I have to press through the crowd!!!
Why do I do the things that I hate and the things that I want to do, I can’t find how to do?
It’s because you need all of heaven to carry the weight for you!
You need the anointing!
And if you don’t have it, the devil will kill you.
We cannot be satisfied with a drop of water from heaven. We need to go after the waterfall!
This is a WAKE UP CALL!!!!!!!!
GET BACK ON THE LINES AND CHARGE AFTER THE THINGS OF GOD!
If we’re not saturated with Heaven, we are saturated with self. Even if you are a Christian, everything will revolve around you if God doesn't kill your pride with his Glory manifestation.
Some people are in the desert and instead of facing reality of their dryness, they start to get spiritually weird or religious. They start to make up their own reality. They make up their own Christ, their own kingdom of God, what they want to see. Just like in those movies when the guy is in the desert and he’s so messed up by the dryness and the heat. He starts to see things that are not there. This is how some Christians are. Instead of going after the kingdom until it explodes in them, they give up half way because they want it to be easy. They start seeing things, feeling things, imagining things, going after things like false doctrine, strange spirits, strange fire. They are going after illusions while God turns them over to their delusions!
We need to get real! We, as the Church, need to see our present state and say this is no where near what Jesus says we are to be, and then go after it. Look at my life and then look at His life! See the gap, jump in the gap like Elijah, and the Holy Spirit gets us there!
What was Elijah doing in that gap? He was praying, waiting, warring, groaning, longing, seeking, desiring, and chasing after the pouring out of heaven: The rain, and it came, in the cloud the size of a man’s hand, and the drought ended.
We wonder why does God move more powerfully in other countries than in America? It’s not about the country; it’s about the people! If the people have the heart of Elijah, the heart of the woman with the issue of blood, the heart of the woman that Jesus called a dog, then we will see Jesus turn to us and say, “Great is your faith!” And the kingdom falls on us!
Jesus called a woman a dog, but yet she turned that offense into intercession. How many people will be offended with their dry Christian life, with their destitution of God, but turn it into a heart longing for the weight of his glory? Some Christians don’t know what they are chasing after. They just go aimlessly seeking after anything Jezebel feeds them, feeling that feels better than the last! Or anything seems good!
We need to realize not just what we’re going after but who we are going after! Who or what is He? He’s a spirit; He’s God; He’s the Christ. Yes, He’s all those things, but what is the core of His being? The Word of God is Christ. Jesus Christ is The Living Word of God! He is the Word turned into a man, into flesh, into a human, the walking Word, the living Word! He is the WORD! And when we go after The Word of God, we are going after Jesus. When we’re consuming The Word of God, we are being consumed with Jesus!
When we speak what saith the Spirit, Jesus is entering our ears and minds. He said if my words abide in you, I will abide in you. Why? Because His Word is who He is and what He is all about! JESUS IS THE INSIDES of the Father! He is the manifestation of God’s heart and mind! That’s what the word is: what God thinks, how God feels, God’s mindsets, His visions, His wants. This is why we need The Word of God because we become like Christ, and when we become like Christ, we are becoming one with the Father, with His insides, with The Core of His being!!
Having the same thoughts, heart, feelings, mind, intentions! Everything! This is what it looks like to be made in the image of God! To look like Him from The inside! I want to look like Him in my heart and mind! You want to look like Him in your heart and mind! Let’s go after The Word of God, and The Word of God will make us one, because He is His Word. His Word is like a FIRE, and when His Word that is like a FIRE abides in you, He abides in you. The Fire abides in you! Rivers of living water will overflow from you! In the dry land they will call you a well! A spring!! When you go to the dry churches, the dry cities, they will say, “How can this be! Who is this man or women?
Who are they? How are they saturated like that? How can they have that much zeal? How can they burn that bright? How can they be that on Fire?”
Blessed be you when they call you a FIRE IN THE DESERT!
