“God, we are asking you to burn away anything that has no eternal value in us.” Religion is always trying to reach their own goals, trying to be rich, trying to find that one thing, but when they get that one thing they were seeking for, they start searching for something else. Only the river of God has the power to bring joy, to fill that thing that man cannot fill! Religion is the evidence of unbelief, the evidence of unchanging, of being stuck, of sitting in the same seat, of laying on the same bed in hell. Not doing something different than before is ritual and religion. If you are not satisfied, move yourself and go towards the living waters!

But faith is the evidence of things hoped for; faith in what you cannot see, but it is the evidence! The only work that we are required by God to do is the work of faith! Without these works of faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6)! He is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)! “God, You have sent us to hard ground, to a nation that is filled with traditions, filled with things that separate us from being in You. Help us, Father, to break this religious spirit and be free indeed. We know we have to believe! With You, we will and can take the land. You are God. There is nothing You can’t do.”

This message is called Moths and Rust. What do you live for? To drink, to be happy, for retirement, for the future, for yourself? Are you living for that which will pass away? In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was a river coming from the throne of God! This river is Christ! He came and showed us the way! He is saying, “This river will bring life. It will be the only thing that will satisfy your soul!” Let’s read Matthew 6:19-34. “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal” (verse 19). Even living in this world, God is the one requiring us to lay up for something that is not tangible, but to store up for the kingdom, for the eternal glory. “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal” (verse 20).

Here is the key in verse 21: “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” So where is your treasure? When you are unbelieving, you actually show where your treasure is. Your desire, your faith will show where your treasure is. Without faith, you are an unbeliever and a sinner! The only sin we all may have in common is the sin of unbelief! Unbelief is the door to death. Faith and belief are the door to life! It does not matter what you do because if you do it without faith, that is not accepted by God. People may argue, but it is all written. We need to get back to the pure Word of God. That is quite simple, trust, faith, and believing everything He said and also everything He is saying. To see what God is showing will take a lot of living waters to wash us clean! God is not telling us to look in the mirror and see how perfect we are or how imperfect we are.

Are you in faith, are you hungry, are you desperate, are you thirsty? He is the potter. We are the clay. We just need to believe, obey, and trust.You can take faith and fire and marry them together, just as you can marry lukewarm and religiosity together. Religion is faith in your own self. In the kingdom is faith in Him and in what He said and did. “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon” (verse 24). We cannot have faith in two things that contradict one another. You cannot have faith in God and faith in lies or faith in God and faith in your own strength and works. What exposed Adam and Eve in the garden was their faith in a lie! It was not even the forbidden fruit.

The only reason why Eve ate that was because satan convinced her that what God told her was a lie or there was more to it that she was missing out on. All through the Bible, this has been the situation, even in the Old Testament: believing in what God says, second-guessing it, or not believing. The same happens up to this day. Satan is always trying to make us believe a lie! That lie will activate our faith in what satan says to us! Then, we began to be unstable, confused and even lost at times.

But we need to activate our faith by believing on what we have already heard! Then faith comes. We are always trying to become something that He already said that we are. That is when unbelief creeps in: when He says something, and we don’t believe on what we heard! Are your eyes in darkness or in light? When your eyes are on Him fully, you are fully in faith. When you keep looking at you, you cannot see Him any longer! God is saying in this passage, “Stop thinking on your own self.” There is freedom in Him if you keep looking at Him. There is bondage in you if you keep looking at you. The unbeliever thinks about all of these carnal things (verse 31).

They are wired to do that, but if we are rewired to think on the kingdom of God, we will be thinking only on things above (Colossians 3:2)! This life is a vapor. Are you living it for the Kingdom? Are you living for eternity? That is where your heart will be. What is your attention, focus, rest, adoration, and hunger set on? If you are drinking from His river, you are always satisfied! The world lives for what James 5:1-10 mentions: “Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten” (verses 1-2). The rich man may not have any moth or rust, but He will. God sees it all.

In the kingdom of God, if you are seeking this world, you are a fraud! And you let satan rob your own joy, your inheritance, and your destiny. But you keep seeking these things, unfulfilled because of your own unbelief! Stop it! You still believe that you have to work for it, but all you need is just to believe. The problem is not what you do but why you do what you do! What is flowing out of your belly? Out of your heart? Out of the innermost of your being? What are the treasures flowing out of it? “Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter” (verse 5).

We shall not want because the Lord is our shepherd (Psalm 23)! “I want this, I want that, so I cannot serve the Kingdom until I have this and have that”: These thoughts are the evidence! That is proof your faith is based on a lie. FAITH has to become FAITHFULNESS! You are trying to be faithful without having faith! That is the work of religiosity! You cannot be faithful in the little and then expect to be put in the much if you are trying to be faithful when you have already lost your faith. You are just expecting something without any evidence. That is called unbelief!

Deep down, you keep trying to do something that you can never do without faith! What is God requiring? Look at Peter. Never walked on the water but saw Jesus doing it. Been in the boat so many times. All his life, he did everything from the inside of the boat, but he had to do something different than he had not done before. Peter was not waiting for Jesus to pick him up on His lap and walk him on water. Peter was not ready to walk on the water all that time, but he took that one little step of faith! Peter could not catch one fish through his religious ways. He was toiling, frustrated, and depressed. He was religious, and in one day he stepped into this kingdom of faith!

It has nothing to do with you but you having faith in Him! “Lord, if that is you, bid me, call me, and I come to you.” Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, the voice of God! Peter did not read that! He became that! Now we read that for our faith. How much more does God want to use you; to write your story for others to read? Take heed! What you gain in this world will always be taken away by the spirit you are controlled by! If you are bound by the spirit of poverty, for example, that spirit will take everything from you! So, be overtaken by the Spirit of God. This way, that glory of Christ which is in us, mustard seed size, will always be growing! We all have a measure. So, we cannot have an excuse. Jesus did not say that this faith is for certain people. No! It is for all!

Have you renounced the Truth that you have heard (2 Corinthians 4)? Have you ignored and rejected the things you have seen? Religion always works in the sight of men! But the remnant works in the sight of God! Don’t be blind in your mind because of your lack of faith (verse 4). Everybody in religion always thinks this word is for somebody else! They are carnal, unbelievers! We always think they must die to receive something from God for eternity only. In the world of religion, they require a lot! “Touch not, do not, say not”… “Do this, do that”… But God requires faith! Religious people are always trying to make you do something that you can only obtain through faith! That is blasphemy!...

In their opinion, it was actually blasphemy for them to say, “Jesus is the son of God” (John 10:36), but actually, they were blasphemers! Don’t you dare talk about the One who is working in me! Don’t you dare talk about the Holy Spirit inside of me! Don’t you dare! When you try to allow the Word to become you, they will do and say the same things. It is a religious spirit that wants to separate you from the grace to become the sons of God. We have the Spirit of faith, and they will demonize you! They said Jesus was casting demons by Beelzebub (Matthew 12:27). They believe in the kingdom of darkness but never believe in the kingdom of light! Many don’t believe on what God said to them! They are separated from God because they are carnal. It is written! But they can read it. They can see it in the pages, or they read it and do not believe. The mysteries are at the door. The mysteries are in Christ! Just like the church of Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-16). They are lukewarm. They had moth, rust, and no inheritance. …

They have not stored anything up there but down here! “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked” (verse 17). But those who are of faith and stand in faith are very, very, very rich toward God. “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:7).

Many people are hungry for so much more, but their own traditions stop them from receiving! Jesus did not come to make us religious but to wage war on religion! That is why the devil wants to make you and me religious, too! The Word of God is the mirror of Jesus! Soon we will appear just like Jesus! This is for now! For this full manifestation, we need faith! We need faith! Faith today! Harden not your heart! “While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation” (Hebrews 3:15). We have this treasure in earthly vessels! If we have this treasure, don’t focus on the vessel. If you focus on the vessel, you will ignore the treasure!

Zerubbabel! Not by might, not by power (Zechariah 4:6)! Satan makes us focus on what we are not yet! Then that will cause us to not believe anymore. The devil uses evidence of facts but we focus on the Truth! Why are you making your own self bleed if Jesus Christ has already bled? Why are you beating yourself up instead of denying yourself? We should always be bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our Body (verse 10). Religion says, “When this and that happens when we die…” No! It is for now, the manifestation of Christ in our own body! We have the SAME SPIRIT OF FAITH! Do you know faith is a spirit? (2 Corinthians 4:13). It is a gift but also it is a spirit! The Spirit of faith! Negative thoughts don’t come from a bad person but from a person who does not believe how good God is! Do you believe the Word of God? You don’t need faith when you die. You need faith today! Don’t worry about tomorrow! So many live a lifestyle of anxiety because of their own unbelief! It doesn’t matter what you have. You always will have more when you believe!

The only servant who is not happy is the one who buries the measure given to them! I have enough to have more because I have the seed that is the seed of abundance. The abundance of faith, Truth, oil, the abundance of everything! Not just in this world but for this time and the time to come! The problem is when we keep looking at things with carnal eyes (verses 17-18)! They are all temporal! If we only knew how temporal these things are! “That is how I want you to live,” God is saying… “Live today like today is your last day here on Earth!” Only faith activates eternity inside of you and me! Peter talks about obtaining faith! Let’s read 2 Peter 1. Where is grace and peace? On the things seen or unseen? God did not say one day He will give all you need pertaining to life and godliness. He gave us all we need for that. Only faith will give you the full access to them though! God has called us to glory and virtue. Not to a denomination. But to His own self! Faith in God is like God giving us some of His stocks, but you need to keep buying stocks from God through faith! If you believe in His kingdom, you will keep buying stocks! Look at what I am saying. It is like this: God is as this a big corporation or as an amazing growing company, for example. The more stocks you obtain in His company, the more you have in that investment. God is a God of multiplication. So, when your stocks are worth more, they split, and they multiply. Just like the parable of the talents, you are always gaining more (Matthew 25:14-30)! In the kingdom, you have the opportunity to buy glory, to buy oil, and that is the best investment ever and that will be forever!

Where is your treasure? Is it full of moths? Is it rusting? Where is your treasure? Are you investing in the wrong kingdom? Have you escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (verse 4)? Go and try to eat heavenly things from the table of religion. Impossible. They only serve fear and torment about tomorrow! All of this divine nature is already in you. You just need to believe! If you are lacking, it is because you are blind because of a lack of faith (verse 9). You have already been purged from your old sins, but you still don’t believe! His kingdom is abundant! Colossians 1:9-29 keeps reminding us to be filled, not with the knowledge of good and evil, but with the knowledge of His will, of what we have, of who He created us to be! Faith is now! The knowledge of Christ is now!

The main goal today is to grow a little bit more into the knowledge of who He is and who we are! Tomorrow your faith will be activated! Today, you heard it; now, tomorrow, have faith in what you heard! When you are in the Spirit, you don’t eat anything else but Christ! Eat His flesh. Drink His blood. Eat of the knowledge of Me, He is saying, when you feast in who I am, only then will you be able to see who you are in Me! "Is it Christ - the hope of a better person? No, the hope of glory! He is light. When light manifests, shame disappears! If we are in darkness, shame is present! He is the revealer of all things! We can become an enemy of God through unbelief, through religion, and through tradition! But He is here to present us unblemished (Ephesians 5:27). Why are you trying to present yourself unblemished? What a pride. He is pleased with our faith if we just let Him do His work in us! Stop focusing on you! You did not save you; now, pick up your cross and let the finished work of the cross work in you until that eternal weight of glory be revealed inside your body, which is the Church of Christ Jesus! He wants to present every man perfect in Christ, not in you! This is the warning to our religious mindset! It is not you are working something in you, but He is working in you! In the end, all will have been moths and rust! “Thank you, Father! All the things that you have called us to do and to be can only be obtained by us through faith! Let us grow into the knowledge of You, and not into the knowledge of who I am not, but in the knowledge of the treasure that I have. I will lay up treasure in heaven, where moths and rust cannot touch! My life is based on eternity, and I will live for another age! Amen."
